153: How to Declutter Your Life ft. Desirae Endres from The Minimal-ish Podcast

Let's talk about decluttering and minimalism --  I know I used to have a weird relationship with the term “minimalism” because I used to attach it with guilt and lots of rules. Years ago I watched a documentary on Netflix called "Minimalism" and immediately purged my entire home because I felt so terrible about how I was living.

Obviously, it didn’t last because I approached it from a fear-based mindset. I’m sure a lot of others have kind of written off minimalism as “not for them” for similar reasons so I want to set the record straight and talk about a REALISTIC version of minimalism and how it can help you live a peacefully productive life so I brought the host of the Minimal-ish Podcast on to help us out!

Desirae is a mom to two littles and the host of the Minimal-ish podcast. After diving head first into minimalism when her first daughter was a baby, she quickly learned that her naturally-messy self didn't fit the picture-perfect minimalism that you may find on Instagram. Minimal-ish was born to share a realistic and messy version of minimalism.

Desirae believes simplifying our stuff, our days, and our mindset can bring us peace. Her passion is to share her own realistic version of minimalism along with teaching others to ask the right question and find their own version.
